Aerial Performers for Hire in Johannesburg & Pretoria

Aerial silks, lyra, trapeze, pole, straps, hammock and chains — solo, duo and trio acts, rigged by our own certified structural riggers. The act that makes a room go quiet.

The Disciplines

Seven apparatus, one ensemble

Aerial is the act that changes the temperature of a room. Guests stop mid-sentence, phones come up, and for four minutes the event has a centre. Our aerialists compete internationally — the team is led by certified World Champion performers — and every routine is choreographed to the music and the moment rather than pulled off a shelf.

Aerial Silks

Two lengths of fabric, climbs, wraps and controlled drops. The most recognisable aerial act and the one guests photograph most.

Aerial Hoop (Lyra)

A steel ring worked in sculptural, held shapes. Elegant and slower-paced — ideal over a dinner service.

Aerial Trapeze

Static and dance trapeze, from playful and characterful to dramatic and high-tension.

Aerial Straps

The most athletic discipline in the repertoire — explosive, powerful, and extremely effective for launches.

Aerial Chains

A harder-edged, industrial look that suits warehouse venues, brand activations and rock-leaning events.

Aerial Pole

Vertical pole work — dynamic, athletic and striking in a tight footprint where a full rig would not fit.

Aerial Hammock

A single looped fabric — fluid, sculptural and softer in tone than silks, and beautiful over a dinner service.

Solo, Duo & Trio Acts

One, two or three performers on one or more apparatus, with counterbalance work and synchronised choreography. Priced per artist.

Rigging

We bring our own riggers — this matters more than you think

The single biggest difference between aerial suppliers is who hangs the point. We supply our own certified structural riggers, our own rated hardware, and where a venue has no suitable structure we supply free-standing aerial rigs that let us perform in ballrooms, marquees, warehouses and gardens with no permanent fixing at all. Rigging and floor equipment are quoted separately from the performance fee, so you see exactly what each part costs.

Practically, that means you are not chasing your venue for load ratings or hiring a separate rigging contractor, and you are not discovering three days out that the ceiling will not take a point. We conduct a site inspection, confirm load paths in writing, and take responsibility for the whole chain from anchor to apparatus.

Where It Works

Ceiling height, floor space and sightlines

Aerial needs three things: height, a clear footprint beneath the apparatus, and sightlines from where your guests will actually be sitting. As a rough guide, hoop and static trapeze work from around five metres; silks want more, because the drops are what people remember. Below that we would rather redesign the act around a free-standing rig — an A-frame, T-frame or lollipop, hired separately with delivery and installation included — than sell you a routine that is compressed into nothing.

We perform regularly at hotel ballrooms and conference venues in Sandton and Midrand, warehouse and industrial spaces in Johannesburg, wedding venues around Muldersdrift and the Cradle, and event venues across Pretoria and Centurion. Send us photographs of the space and we will tell you within a day what is possible in it.

Booking

Building the right act for your event

A single aerialist over a dinner service and a three-apparatus production with costume changes are different bookings, and the honest answer to “what does aerial cost” is that it depends on performer count, set length, rigging requirement and travel. What we can promise is that the quote will be itemised, and that we will tell you when you are over-buying.

Every production is scored with The Signature Score — an original piece of music composed for your event, with three finished options to choose from and the recording yours to keep — or we choreograph to a song of your own choosing if you prefer. Standard costuming is included; custom costuming matched to your theme or corporate palette is quoted separately. Send us your date, venue, guest numbers and the moment in the running order you want to elevate.

Questions

What clients ask us

What ceiling height do you need for aerial performance?

As a guide, aerial hoop and static trapeze work from roughly five metres, and silks want more because the drops are the point. Where a venue is too low or has no rigging points, we supply free-standing aerial rigs — an A-frame, T-frame or lollipop — hired separately from the performance fee, with delivery and installation included.

Do you supply your own rigging?

Yes. We supply our own certified structural riggers, rated hardware and free-standing rigs, and we conduct a site inspection and confirm load paths in writing before the booking is finalised. You do not need to appoint a separate rigging contractor. Rigging and floor equipment are quoted separately from the performance fee, so nothing is a surprise later.

Can you perform in a marquee or an outdoor venue?

Yes, using free-standing rigs, hired separately from the performance fee. Outdoor aerial is wind-dependent, so we agree a wind threshold and a fallback plan with you in advance rather than making the call under pressure on the night.

How long is an aerial act?

A single act runs about four minutes — the length of the piece of music it is choreographed to. Many clients book two or three acts across an evening on different apparatus, which keeps the entertainment present without asking guests to sit through one long block. Ambient busking sets are also available where a roaming presence suits the event better.

Can the performance be matched to our branding?

Yes. Custom costuming matched to your theme or corporate palette is available, quoted separately from the performance fee, and every production is scored with The Signature Score — an original piece of music composed for your event, with three options to choose from, or with music of your own choosing.

Aerial pairs naturally with fire for an indoor-to-outdoor two-act structure. Related pages:
